Caroline Food Pantry

“The Caroline Food Pantry is an all-volunteer organization that serves residents of the Town of Caroline and surrounding communities. The Pantry provides food to almost 500 people each month, offering emergency deliveries throughout the month and walk-in “pickup” service on the first & third Mondays of every month, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Caroline Food Pantry Committee manages our volunteers and organization. We work hard to make sure that everyone in Caroline gets enough to eat through our distributions – free of charge! The Food Pantry provides support to people who need temporary assistance due to job loss or illness, as well as those who are chronically low income — including many senior citizens and disabled residents. In addition to food, Catholic Charities representatives are at our distributions offering personal care items. At Christmas time, we have presents that have been donated for our clients, so everyone who wants to can share the joy of giving a Christmas present. Except for the food we grow in our ‘Community Gardens,’ and bread donated by various stores, most food we have to purchase from the Food Bank of the Southern Tier in Elmira. Thus, we’re completely dependent on donations from the community. If you have something to donate or would like to volunteer, contact John or Dody Martin.” (Source)
