Since its founding in 1999, the DCTC has endeavored to cultivate a continuous learning environment, promote a positive community image, and serve as a source and liaison for diversity and inclusiveness resources. DCTC offers educational opportunities to affiliate members as well as to the community at large on a regular basis.
How to help? The DCTC is a joint effort of local employers and leaders dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in Tompkins County. The goals are:
To significantly increase diversity in the local workforce
To establish and maintain a learning network
To collaborate on diversity training and similar initiatives
There is currently a call for workshop presenters. Interested parties are invited to submit workshop proposals in support of the DCTC Education Program. The Program is comprised of workshops and forum on an array of diversity, inclusion, and social justice issues, particularly as these relate to a healthy workplace climate and culture. The DCTC is seeking experienced presenters to share their knowledge and expertise. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ongoing diversity and inclusion professional development initiative while also expanding one’s professional network to include a variety of employers, HR practitioners, business leaders, and other community representatives in Tompkins County and surrounding areas. More information can be found here. Are you thinking about joining the DCTC? Do you have more questions about an event? Please contact the Consortium at firstname.lastname@example.org.
