Racial Justice Volunteer Opportunities
Tompkins County Showing Up For Racial Justice is in alignment with the values of National SURJ, and provides a space to build relationships, skills, and political understanding from which to act for change. We use a variety of strategies and tactics in pursuit of the mission, including education, direct action, support for people of color-led organizations, and support for local and national campaigns.
Diversity Consortium of Tompkins County is a joint effort of local employers and leaders dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in Tompkins County.
Building Bridges for socially just, ecologically sound local economy exists to support the growth and connectedness of a network of people and organizations working to eliminate structural racism and poverty in our country. This initiative is a collaborative effort of the Dorothy Cotton Institute, Sustainable Tompkins, CCE Environment Program, CCE Green Jobs Program, Ithaca College Committed to Change Initiative, Groundswell, Natural Leaders Initiative, the Multicultural Resource Center, and many others to build, support and maintain a local movement in the Tompkins Country region.
Multicultural Resource Center engages in cultural and systemic transformation by building with our communities to eliminate barriers to racial justice, cultural dignity, equity and inclusion, and indigenous rights.
